Toddler groups are vitally important:
Meet new people/ New friends.
Familiar weekly Routine.
Familiar faces.
Share parenting tips and advice with other like minded adults.
At my local Toddler group that I go to every Tuesday, numbers are dwindling even though it costs a mere £2 for an hour and a half, adults get a coffee and children get a juice and a biscuit in with that price.
I really wish more people would use and support these groups. I think they are vital to local communities, tot groups allow families to get to know each other and will as a result keep our children safer.
If you know the people in your community then you will know who the strangers are too. Connecting and getting to know people and other families in your village or town is hugely important in todays society.
A large number of children will follow the same school system from playgroup through to high School. It really would be such a shame if parent and toddler groups disappeared completely from lack of funding and support.
