The first 3 days of the holiday it rained non-stop very depressing but the weather soon took a turn for the better and we did come back with tans. We ate in the harbour most nights and managed to have a couple of meals with the children sleeping neatly tucked under the table in their pushchairs. Our favourite restaurant was the Mandra Taverna it was tucked up a side street just off the main harbour promenade, it is stunning covered in grapevines and is the most traditional styled restaurant we found whilst we were there. The food in general was great in Cyprus but the service and value for money at the Mandra made it extra special.
I was so nervous about the flight, which is four hours from the UK to Paphos, I had no need to worry because the kids were great they slept for the last hour outbound and the entire flight on the way back., my bag was heaving with toys and sweets to keep them quiet, thankfully no need for bribery. a lady was pacing up and down the isle bouncing her four year old over her shoulder trying desperately to shush him, I just kept thinking "Thank God that isn't me" I can handle someone else's child screaming, purely because there aren't any tuts and shaking heads looking in my direction,, kid's cry and if I was being woken every few hours with the hostess trolley whizzing up and down and people pushing buzzers for service I think I would be screaming too.
Right, well... we are home now and as soon as we got back I was arranging a family bbq for Noah's 2nd birthday, racing around various supermarkets and the butchers to get various meats etc., luckily the weather was scorching and Noah was in his element opening his pressie's.
I have just started a website for children's toys and gifts, I am collecting new items SLOWLY and adding them to the site, I would love to have your feedback and if there is something you think that would go well on the site let me know and leave your comments.
