To get to the end of January not having any snow and in fact having a very mild winter, having a slight flutter this morning excited me (I haven't raced out to buy and replace our sledge that broke last year, if it carries on, I will.)
As we were walking down to nursery this morning, Isla looked at me and said "Where's the snow gone Mom?", we had literally had a few minutes of flakes falling whilst getting ready at breakfast time. I then had a hundred questions from her, each time I answered each question she responded "but why?" in the end trying to explain to her that it had melted as soon as it hit the floor and that it has to snow for a heck of a long time before it actually sticks proved quite draining, eventually she gave in and ended the conversation with "ok".
I wouldn't change her for the world.
