National story telling week is almost upon us.
I read to my Children every single day without fail and they absolutely love books, books and more books.
Here are some of our favourites that we are enjoying reading at the moment.
Wind them up...watch them whizz! Digger Fun by JCB
This is a brilliant book for boys especially as it contain two small wind up JCB diggers, at the back page if you unfold the page it opens up to a track for the diggers to whizz around.
This book is a great product to take on holiday or around to Family and Friend's houses to keep the Kid's entertained (If Family/Friends don't have any toys or children to play with).
I have been very impressed with the quality of the book, it is very thick and robust for heavy handed children.
The story is boys heaven and the illustrations jump off the page.
Don't Wake the Bear Hare by Steve Smallman and Caroline Pedler
I love this book, it makes me smile every time I read it to my Children.
The words flow and it is very easy to read, the illustrations are stunning. This should definitely be a Children's book prize winner in my opinion.
All of the animals are preparing for a party, until they see Bear asleep, they sneak around preparing the party trying not to wake the Bear... I won't give any spoilers, but it is well worth a read, even if you hate reading it's a short picture book.
The Wheels on the Bus
This is a sound and music book, you have to press the buttons when you see the picture in the book.
Everyone (surely) knows the song the Wheels on the Bus, my Children have both loved singing this along with other Children at our local Library group, I am positive this is a winner for any Child.
I wouldn't recommend this as bed time reading as my kid's get over excited but it is definitely one for daytime fun.
